The story
2020 was a unique year in my career as a street photographer. After six months of strict curfews and stern Covid measures as well as vandalism and destruction caused by civil unrest, New York City turned into a desolate shell of its former self. The once bustling metropolis started to look and feel like scenes from a post-apocalyptic movie. As I wandered through the empty streets, normalcy began to slip away. Over time, things slowly improved but it wasn’t until a cold and snowy night in December that the city felt alive again.
This photograph represents a city reborn and is a personal reminder of my experiences during darker times. Wandering the empty streets I no longer recognized while trying to remember what how things once were.
Why this photograph?
This is one of the photos I'm most known for garnering 35k likes on social media & has reached hundreds of thousands of accounts.
It has been featured and shared on major photography websites/blogs/magazines including fstoppers, ExpertPhotography, and more.
Has highest global reach with a current worldwide commercial license with a major TV and movie streaming service (cannot disclose name due to contract).
Why 150 editions?
In order to reward all of my existing collectors while expanding my collector base it required me to settle on a size of 150. See below for breakdown.
Introduce a more affordable price point compared to my 1/1’s (compare w/ last sales) .
There will be opportunities to do “cool” things with this in the future. More to come on this.
The availability of editions will not be released often so a chance for more to collect on one drop instead of many.
